Clippie Lodge, Ballater

Clippie Lodge

Clippie Lodge is in the heart of the village on a quiet road a minute away from the main street and all the facilities the village has to offer.

Clippie Lodge sleeps 4 in 2 lovely bedroom suites (one ground floor). The contemporary yet quirky open plan accommodation is a lovely new holiday home ideally located to explore Royal Deeside and surrounding area.

It is close to several good coffee shops and the village fish and chip shop. On the corner of Viewfield Road is the fantastic Paper Shop. A Ballater institution, it stocks a large range of magazines, newspapers, cigars, cards, confectionery, toys and ice cream.

There are a couple of bike shops close by. They offer bikes for hire, to buy, repair facilities and cycling accessories.

The start of the old railway line is across the road accessed at the side of the beautiful cream coloured Victorian train station which is now a restaurant, library and tourist information centre. The old railway line is great for walking and cycling. Look for the sign post at the old railway station.

Eating out doesn’t take too much effort, all restaurants are within easy walking distance, even if you’re feeling bit tired after day in the hills.

The golf course is close by too, surrounded by hills and with the River Dee close by, it is one of the prettiest courses to play. If you don’t play, there is a lovely walk round the perimeter of the course and along the river, to enjoy.

Dogs welcome holiday home in Ballater

We welcome well behaved pets by arrangement – please advise when you are booking if you wish to bring your dog so that we can ensure they are catered for.

Ballater is ideal dog walking country… we can advise you on walks and places to eat and drink that are suitable for dogs.

Although we love having dogs to stay, we ask that you don’t leave your dog in the house on its own. We also ask that you do not allow your dog onto the furniture or on beds.  The fabrics have been chosen for human comfort.
