Ballater (Royal Deeside) Limited is a community charity (known locally as BRD) formed to support a catchment covering the villages of Ballater, Dinnet, Tullich and Crathie, along with settlements in between. It has as its main source of income Ballater Community Enterprises Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary that operates Ballater Caravan Park, and also operates a Fuel Club (Oil) on behalf of Johnston Oils, for village development.

BRD has involvement in environmental, housing, and other special projects: provides shared Public Liability cover and ring fenced banking for Ballater Walking Festival, Ballater Duck Festival and the Mucklefest: operates the Community Bus: and acts as a focal point for Footpath maintenance issues with reports back to land owners.

The Board meet monthly at Park House to review projects, and hold an AGM in November of each year.
