Ballater Community & Heritage Hub

The Ballater Community and Heritage Hub, located in the heart of Ballater, Scotland, serves as a vibrant center for local events, heritage displays, and community services. Situated within the historic Victoria and Albert Halls complex on Station Square, the Hub offers residents and visitors a welcoming space to engage with the town’s rich history and participate in a variety of activities. Opened by the King (then) Duke of Rothsay in 2021.

Inside the Hub, visitors can explore exhibits curated by the Ballater Highland Games and the Ballater Local History Group. Notably, the Hub houses the original Burgh table and chairs.

Beyond its role as a heritage center, the Hub offers practical services to the community, including design and printing solutions, as well as serving as the Village Box Office for local events. It also functions as a central information point, coordinating and promoting various events and activities within Ballater. Additionally, the Hub provides a space for fundraising sales (mostly Books), recycling initiatives, and the repurposing and sharing of various items, fostering a spirit of sustainability and community support.

The Hub is equipped to host small meetings and offers office space featuring modern amenities such as a large touch-screen TV and printing/photocopier. This makes it an ideal venue for local groups and organizations to convene, collaborate, and plan initiatives that benefit the wider community.
