Alba Game Fishing is the oldest established fly fishing guiding company in Royal Deeside and the rest of Scotland – established 2004
In addition, Alba are Sage Endorsed, under the Sage Experiences program. This means that guests can enjoy using premium Sage R8 rods/ reels and Rio Fly Lines on their salmon fishing days on the River Dee. Furthermore, Alba is also an Orvis Endorsed Operation (since 2005).
We have 4 local guides living in Royal Deeside. Scott who is Orvis Endorsed, has no ego and one of the nicest people to spend a day with is our main guide. Sam, Alan and Martin are all highly experienced and seasoned guides. Martin has enjoyed head ghillie role on Little Blackhall and Inchmarlo Fishings and the Birse beats as well as fishing all the beats on the river.
In addition to salmon fishing on the River Dee, we offer fishing on the River Don, River Deveron, River Spey and all of these rivers are accessible from Aberdeenshire and the Ballater area.
Pick ups and drop offs can be arranged and we carry £5 million public liability insurance and provide breathable Orvis waders and tungsten studded boots in all sizes.
